Premier Beach Cottage is Castle Hill at its most private — a free standing hideaway perched on the dunes of the private beach set apart from everything except the sea. It’s the kind of room that encourages slow mornings, salt air and an unhurried pace from the moment you arrive.
French doors open to a private deck overlooking the ocean and beachfront so the horizon is always in view. Inside, the cottage is warm and inviting with a sitting area, wet bar and a gas jet fireplace that makes the space feel just as special after sunset as it does in full daylight.

Is smoking allowed at Castle Hill Inn?
Castle Hill Inn is a smoke-free property. For the comfort and enjoyment of all our guests, smoking is not permitted in guest rooms, suites, balconies, patios, public spaces, restaurants, event venues, or any indoor common areas. This includes cigarettes, cigars, pipes, electronic cigarettes, vaping devices, and marijuana products.
Should this policy be disregarded, a cleaning and restoration fee will be applied to return the space to its original condition. Additional charges may be incurred if smoking results in damage or requires the room to be temporarily removed from service.
Can I request a crib or rollaway bed?
We are pleased to offer pack n' plays but unfortunately are not able to provide cribs or rollaway beds.
Are Beach Cottages and Beach Houses directly on the beach?
Yes, our Beach Cottages and Beach Houses offer direct access to our private sandy beach, allowing you to step from your accommodations to the shoreline in just moments.
Which accommodations offer ocean or water views?
Every accommodation at Castle Hill Inn offers sweeping views of either the Atlantic Ocean or Narragansett Bay, ensuring a memorable waterfront experience no matter which room or suite you choose.
What is the difference between a room and a suite at Castle Hill Inn?
Rooms offer comfortable accommodations for one or two guests, while suites provide additional living space, and a more spacious layout for an elevated stay.
How do I choose between staying On the Hill, By the Beach, or By the Bay?
Choose On the Hill for historic charm and easy access to the Inn, By the Beach for direct waterfront living and beach access, or By the Bay for a quieter, more secluded retreat with scenic bay views.
Can I bring my dog to Castle Hill Inn?
Dogs are welcome in select accommodations, including select Harbor Houses and Beach Cottages, where nearby walks, open spaces, and ocean air make the perfect setting for a getaway together.
Pets are not permitted in Agassiz Mansion, Beach House accommodations, dining venues, or on the beach.
Which accommodations are best for families?
Families are welcome in select Castle Hill Inn accommodations, including Beach Cottages, Beach Houses, and Harbor Houses. These spaces offer room to relax, easy access to the outdoors, and a coastal setting made for shared memories.
Agassiz Mansion guest rooms are reserved for a more intimate retreat and cannot accommodate children under 12 years of age.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellations made more than 14 days before arrival are eligible for a refund, less a $75 administrative fee. Reservations cancelled within 14 days of arrival are non-refundable.
Do I need to provide a deposit when booking?
To secure your reservations we request full payment at the time of booking.
What are check-in and check-out times?
Check-in begins at 3:00 p.m and check-out is at 11:00 a.m. on your departure day. When helpful, our team will be happy to assist with luggage storage.
