Activities for House Guests

Meet us in the Secret Garden for a 45- to 60-minute meditation session. This class offers a blend of creativity, mindfulness, and allows for personal exploration. Expert guides lead a harmonious mix of breathwork, movement, and stillness, designed to cultivate inner peace. The approach encourages each student to connect with their unique journey, fostering balance and well-being in both body and mind. This class is facilitated by Deidre or Sue. Yoga mats will be provided.

In partnership with the Norman Bird Sanctuary, join one of their naturalists for a guided walk across Castle Hill Inn’s 40 acres. During this one-hour walk, you will take in the sights and natural residents of Castle Hill Inn. This is a great excuse to borrow a pair of our Swarovski Optik binoculars to enhance your adventure, available at the front desk.

Meet your naturalist by the fireplace in the Agassiz Mansion at 10:00am.

Step behind the scenes of Castle Hill Inn’s renowned culinary program with a guided tour of our vibrant Chef’s Garden, led by the Inn’s expert forager. Explore the seasonal herbs, vegetables, and wild edibles that inspire our coastal cuisine while learning how our chefs craft menus inspired by what’s growing just steps from the kitchen. Discover the stories behind the ingredients, sustainable foraging practices, and the unique relationship between land and plate. Whether you’re a passionate foodie or a curious gardener, this tour offers a fresh perspective on farm-to-table dining at its finest. Meet in the Mansion Lobby at 12:00pm.

Beach fires are held on Wednesdays throughout the summer and begin at dusk, weather permitting.
