How are you operating with the Mansion temporarily closed?

The Chalet will serve as the heart of Inn operations, offering the thoughtful hospitality and culinary experiences our guests expect – including a gourmet breakfast buffet, afternoon tea, and evening light bites and cocktails, along with room service, and private car transfers to downtown Newport dining, As the weather becomes warmer and we approach our re-opening later this spring, some adjustments may be made to our service model to make use of our scenic outdoor spaces.

What are your current hours of operation in spring 2026?

While restoration efforts continue at the Agassiz Mansion, our restaurants, Aurelia and The Lawn Terrace, as well as our bars are currently closed. The property will remain closed to the public until Memorial Day weekend. We look forward to welcoming guests back to our restaurants and bars on Friday, May 22, 2026.

Our spa, The Retreat at Castle Hill by Farmaesthetics, will be open on the second floor of our Chalet building. If you are interested in a spa treatment, please contact our Guest Services team at 401-849-3800.

Can I visit the Castle Hill Lighthouse?

Regrettably, access to Castle Hill Lighthouse will not available until Castle Hill Inn re-opens to the public Memorial Day Weekend and parking onsite may be restricted when the property reaches capacity.

What types of room accommodations are available?

Our Beach Cottage rooms and Beach House rooms are available from Thursday, March 5th. In addition, our Harbor House rooms will be available after Memorial Day weekend. With the exception on The Rose Room, the guest rooms in our main mansion will not be available for the remainder of 2026.

For overnight hotel guests, what amenities are you offering for your re-opening in spring 2026?

We will continue to offer a complimentary gourmet breakfast and afternoon tea to all overnight hotel guests. Room service will be available for breakfast from 8:00am to 10:00am and for all-day dining from 11:30am to 10:00pm. Additional guest-only offerings will be available during this time.

Additionally, complimentary shuttle transportation into downtown Newport will be available to hotel guests each evening.

Are you offering any special events this year?

Although we will not be offering our annual Easter Egg Hunt & Easter Brunch, we are pleased to share that we will host a Mother’s Day Brunch offsite, at The Bohlin, overlooking Newport Harbor.
