NEW Beach Cottages

Notes from the Architect:

In keeping true to the overall look and feel of Castle Hill, the overriding theme of the Beach Cottages needs to be true to its environment and location. Our vision was to create a classic and elegant seaside cottage, so we took our cue from what is right outside the door - Narragansett Bay – and created a Beach theme and an Ocean theme.

The Beach colors consist of warm yellows, soft tans and light greens, providing a peaceful, relaxed feeling. These colors carry through the walls, the fireplace tiles, the bedding and the furniture. The tiles around the fireplace are playful, and the material selected for the sofa is warm and inviting, like sitting in the sand dunes. All of the lighting and plumbing fixtures have a rubbed, satin finish to compliment the softness of this scheme.

The elegantly-appointed bathroom is abundant with the colors of the sea and features a jetted, whirlpool tub, a walk-in shower with a large rain shower head, wood wainscoting, , wonderful white bead board cabinets with sand colored Corian tops, and satin chrome Grohe fixtures. Limestone was selected for the bath floors and glass inserts add an elegant touch.

The cozy kitchen has white, bead board cabinets with sand-colored Corian countertops and an elegant Rohl farm sink. There is a soft white subway tile backsplash, as well as an under counter subzero refrigerator for your convenience. This cottage theme reflects a warmer version of the traditional beach cottage.

The Ocean colors are straight out of a traditional seaside cottage motif. Seagreens, light blues, and bright whites are abundant throughout the entire motif. The tiles around the fireplace are playful with a checkerboard visual, and the material for the sofa not only reflects the sea and seaside flora, but also the seaport of Newport with its traditional cottage motif. All of the lighting and plumbing fixtures have a polished finish for a more elegant look.

The elegantly-appointed bathroom is filled with the soft colors of the sea and features a jetted, whirlpool tub, a walk-in shower with a large rain shower head, wood wainscoting, wonderful white bead board cabinets with white carrerra marble tops and polished chrome Grohe fixtures. Tumbled marble in the hues of the ocean were selected for the bath floor to remind one of the sea and beach glass found along the water’s edge.

The combination of polished fixtures and carrerra marble top make for an elegant, yet sophisticated, seaside style.

Each Cottage is designed to be intimate and cozy. Fireplaces grace most of the units with Flat screen TVs with DVDs hidden above them. Each piece of the furniture was selected for each cottage and the bead board beds, wicker chairs and elegant loveseat compliments each space nicely.
